how to analyze B2B sales calls with fable 5 + fireflies MCP

You're running B2B sales calls and you know the close rate should be higher. You listen to a recording, decide the closer "lost them at the objection," and train on objection handling. The close rate doesn't move.

It doesn't move because one call is not a pattern. Claude fable 5 connected to your fireflies account through MCP extracts pattern data across 10-15 calls in under 15 minutes, work that takes a human consultant a full week.

The Setup: Connecting Fireflies to Fable 5

Settings, then Connectors, find Fireflies, complete OAuth. Fable 5 now reads your transcripts directly from source.

This matters for B2B specifically because B2B calls run longer (45-60 minutes vs. 30-40 for B2C). Fable 5's 1,000,000-token context window holds 50+ full transcripts in one session without losing context.

Prompt 1: The Structural Map

"Pull all my sales call transcripts from the last 90 days. Separate won and lost. Produce: average time per stage for both, average prospect talk-time in the first 20 minutes, the point where prospect engagement drops in lost deals, whether any lost deal mentions a partner or board member and if that was addressed, and the primary objection per lost deal by type."

This is B2B-specific because multi-stakeholder dynamics are the most common reason B2B deals stall that B2C analysis misses entirely.

Prompt 2: Discovery Depth Scoring

"Score every call's discovery against 7 criteria: progressive depth, elaboration demand, cost quantification, duration, future cost, personal stakes, mirroring. Output scores for won vs. lost, flag any criterion present in fewer than 30% of lost deals."

Discovery scores of 2-3 out of 7 in lost deals versus 5-6 in won ones is the typical finding. Cost quantification is almost always the highest-impact gap.

Prompt 3: The Multi-Stakeholder Mapping Check

"Check whether the closer asked about other decision-makers in the first 25 minutes. Categorize: question asked and confirmed sole decision-maker, question asked with a plan made for stakeholders, question asked with no plan made, question never asked. For the last category, check if an authority objection appeared at the close."

Category D (never asked) correlates with authority objections in 70-80% of cases. The fix is asking at minute 14, not the close.

Prompt 4: Objection Origin Mapping

"For every lost deal, identify the primary objection and trace backward to what was said earlier that could have prevented it. Classify by certainty gap: ROI clarity, urgency, authority, proof relevance, or mechanism understanding."

Prompt 5: The B2B Deal Cycle Analysis

"For every closed deal, identify how many conversations happened before the close, what changed between the stall and the close, and what follow-up content re-engaged them. Output average conversations to close and whether a structured follow-up protocol exists."

Prompt 6: The Intervention Generator

"Based on all pattern data, generate a prioritized list of no more than 5 interventions. Name the specific change, the certainty gap it closes, and how to measure it on the next 10 calls."

The Claude Skill for Monthly Diagnostics

Skill: B2B Sales Call Diagnostic Engine

Purpose: complete diagnostic cycle using 90 days of call data. Structural comparison, discovery scoring, multi-stakeholder mapping, objection origin analysis, deal cycle analysis, and prioritized interventions. Run monthly.

Guardrails: minimum 8 calls for pattern confidence. Maximum 5 interventions per cycle. Every intervention cites pattern data.

What This Produces for B2B Operations

A client running a B2B DFY offer. One closer, 20 calls a month, 14% close rate. We connected fireflies, pulled 58 transcripts.

Discovery averaged 8 minutes in lost deals, 21 in won ones. Category D showed up in 34 of 40 lost deals, with authority objections appearing in 19 of those 34.

Two fixes: the stakeholder question at minute 14, and the cost quantification question. Close rate went from 14% to 27% in month one. The authority objection dropped from 47% to 12% of non-closes.
