How to Start a 6 Figure Faceless YouTube Channel (Full Breakdown)

I've helped over 400 people start profitable faceless youtube channels. i've ran over 50 channels myself. Generated over $4 MILLION by age 25. Worked with youtubers that have 10 million+ subscribers, and helped seven, eight, even NINE figure entrepreneurs develop their content strategies.

So yeah... i know how Faceless Youtube works.

This is the exact 4-step process i'd follow if i were starting from scratch today.

no fluff.

just the stuff that actually makes money.

Step 1: Pick Your Niche

This is BY FAR the most important decision you're gonna make. bar none.

here's what you're looking for:

A niche where there's a ton of inherent attention: people are actively searching for and consuming this content already. you don't want to create demand. you want to ride the wave of demand that's already there.

A gap in the market: there's an audience that's STARVING for more content and there aren't enough creators filling that gap. people are hungry and there aren't enough videos to feed them.

easy to produce: if you can find a niche that checks all three of those boxes you will make so much money so quickly. i see it literally all the time.

Real examples from my students:

→ one kid, 18 years old, still in high school in Nigeria. BOOM! $40,000/MONTH after starting his channel in December. that's basically billionaire status in Nigeria lol

→ one girl Rae, busy executive, never had youtube experience - $10,000/month. we just helped her find the right gap in the marketplace. (btw she used some of the money Youtube gave her to climb up Mount Everest 💪)

To validate a niche you want to see other channels already making $10,000+ a month in it within a recent timeframe. but there shouldn't be stupid insane amounts of competition. OR the audience has to be so massive that competition doesn't even matter (sports niches are a perfect example of this. the demand just never runs out).

Step 2: Find Outlier Videos

this is the part where most people get stuck. "what videos do i even make??"

simple. you find videos that are ALREADY successful and you model them.

Formats that crush it:

→ explainer / news related content → commentary style (you're talking over what's happening, editing clips together with narration) → documentary style → educational / teaching a concept

Formats that don't work as well for beginners:

→ asmr → music channels (you CAN make money but it's harder starting out)

And about shorts: yeah you can make money with shorts. but here's the math that nobody talks about:

to make $6,000 with a long form video you need about 1 MILLION views.

to make $6,000 with shorts you'd need roughly 100 MILLION views.

that's 100x more views for the same money. getting a video to 100 million views is WAY harder than getting one to a million. long form wins every time if you're trying to build real income.

How to find outlier videos:

look for videos that got WAY more views than the channel's subscriber count. and way more views compared to their other videos. if a channel normally gets 10,000 views per video and then one video randomly gets 3 MILLION views in 2 weeks? that's your signal. that's the video you model and recreate.

i had one idea that we reproduced like 40 times. every single time it got at least 100,000 views. some got MILLIONS. same concept over and over with a new keyword plugged in each time. built a whole system around it and it made us hundreds of thousands of dollars.

Step 3: Outsource Everything

This is the strategy i personally use to scale channels fast.

i just hire people that have ALREADY made these types of videos. i want them on my team. that's it.

most people are like "hiring is so hard" - bro, if you did 30 interviews you'd find like 6 people that could work for you that have already made videos for your competition. it's not that hard. people just don't want to put in the reps.

you can also use AI tools for a lot of stuff. midjourney images, dall-e, whatever. you can do pretty much everything with AI except for the actual video editing.

But honestly? i've found it works best to just hire cheap freelancers online. we had one student paying like $40-50 PER VIDEO and making $40,000/month off his channel. the margins are insane when you find the right people.

Here's a pro tip most people don't know, but you can literally hire your competitor's script writers, voice actors, and video editors. a lot of them don't get enough work, don't get enough recognition, aren't getting paid well, or they're just burned out and want a fresh opportunity. go find them.

Step 4: Monetize

Here's how the money actually works:

Youtube adsense (this is 50-60% of my revenue)

Youtube plays ads on your videos and pays you 55% of the ad revenue. to get monetized you need 1,000 subscribers and 4,000 hours of watch time (roughly 40,000 views). honestly one viral video can get you there.

the RPM (how much you get paid per view) varies by niche but typically:

→ 1 million views = anywhere from $4,000 to $20,000 depending on your niche and content length

if you're getting over a million views a month you're probably making more than most people's 9-5 salary. and that's just adsense alone.

Brand deals

once you're getting like 100,000+ views per video, brands will come to YOU. they typically pay $20-30 per thousand views. so a million view video with a brand deal? that's $20,000-$30,000 on top of your adsense.

Affiliate marketing

Almost every company out there has an affiliate program: softwares, products, amazon, etc. You just put your affiliate links in the video description, CTA it in the video, and you make a commission every time someone buys through your link.

Other revenue streams:

→ merchandise (hats, shirts, mugs) → newsletters → digital products (i've made a couple million dollars off digital products alone)

Once you're getting millions of views a month you can also optimize your ad revenue by playing more ads and making sure you're talking about high-value keywords in your videos so you get paid more per thousand views. there's a lot of ways to squeeze more money out of the traffic you're already getting.

The 2 Things That Separate $100k/month from $100/month

after all of this, after helping hundreds of people, after running 50+ channels... it comes down to TWO things:

1. Ideation

finding the right videos to make RIGHT NOW. knowing what the marketplace is missing. knowing what the market wants to see. timing the market correctly.

every year there's 1-3 killer opportunities where you can make $100k/month basically overnight. i have friends that made $250,000-$300,000 in a SINGLE MONTH this year off niches that blew up (drama channels, geopolitical stuff... it changes every year).

OR you go the evergreen route and make videos today that pay you for YEARS. i have videos from 2018 that still pay me $500/month. uploaded almost 7 years ago. just sitting there making me money like a car payment every single month. That's the beauty of Youtube.

2. Your Team

Majority of my success was through other people. the first $100k i made was mostly by myself. everything after that? script writers, voice actors, video editors, channel managers, consultants, strategists.

The success is having the right people in your corner helping you execute. just getting really really good at those two things - ideation and team building - is what separates people who make life-changing money from people who spin their wheels and go nowhere.

The bottom line

The creator economy is worth almost HALF A TRILLION DOLLARS right now. it's never been a better time to get in.

go find a niche that's working. find the videos that are blowing up. find the people that can make those videos for you. turn on monetization. and just do the work.

that's it. that's the whole game.
