Most people picking a YouTube niche are thinking about it wrong

They ask themselves what am I interested in or what niche is everyone talking about right now

Neither of those questions tells you whether the niche will actually make you money or get you monetized fast

There are two things that actually determine how quickly your channel grows

Demand and supply

Article image

Demand is how many people want to watch content in your niche

Supply is how many channels are already serving that demand

The opportunity lives in the gap between the two

Article image

High demand, low supply means a lot of people want to watch and not many channels are giving it to them

That is where you want to be

Here is how to find niches that meet those criteria and two you can start with today

The tool I use for this is TubeLab

Go to the niche finder, filter for monetized English faceless channels around a year old making at least $4,000 a month with an RPM of $4 or higher, and run the results

For every channel that looks interesting, click analyze niche

It gives you a market size score and a saturation score

What you want is a large market size paired with a high unsaturation score

That combination tells you there are a lot of viewers available and not many channels competing for them

Run this process across the results until you find something that fits

Takes about five minutes

Now here are three specific niches worth building in right now

The first is car explainers

Channels in this niche make listicle videos about car brands, models, levels, and comparisons

Think seven levels of BMW or the worst cars to buy in 2026

One channel in this space, Kitty Explains Cars, built to a few thousand dollars a month with only 14 videos

The reason this niche works is evergreen content

A video breaking down the audio levels in a BMW is just as relevant two years from now as it is today

One video on that channel was months old and still pulling over 100 views per hour

That is the compounding effect of evergreen content

RPM sits around $4 to $5 per thousand views which is respectable

The community is passionate and engaged which drives comments and signals to YouTube that the content is worth pushing

One thing to watch out for: car audiences are knowledgeable

If your script has factual errors, people will call it out in the comments

Fact-check before you produce

The second niche is adjacent to this one and is geography-based car care

More specifically, brand-focused car content covering Japanese, Korean, Chinese, or electric vehicles

One channel called Japanese Car Insider was already scaling to $6,000 to $7,000 a month just one month in

The topics here are practically endless

Every brand has dozens of models, every model has engines and parts and common problems and buying considerations

Three worst and best Japanese cars, the most reliable Honda engines, why Toyota owners never regret their purchase

Repeatable, specific, evergreen

People making buying decisions are hungry for this content

RPM sits around $5 to $6 which is solid

The one thing to keep in mind is urgency

Someone can watch a car care video tomorrow and nothing in their life changes today if they do not

It is a lower urgency watch than breaking news or conflict coverage

That means you need strong packaging to get people to click

Good thumbnails, specific titles, clear value in the first few seconds

If you are looking to get monetized quickly without the daily upload pressure of a news channel, the car niches are the easier path

Pick one, validate it against the demand and supply criteria, and start building
