ChatGPT Voice is an AGI moment for me.

1st AGI moment: Cursor w/ Sonnet 3.5

2nd AGI moment: Claude Code w/ Opus 4.5

3rd AGI moment: OpenClaw

And now ChatGPT Voice. It has completely transformed how I use AI.

First I'm going to cover how ChatGPT Voice has completely transformed how I use AI, then my workflow below it

BENEFITS:

  1. Impossible to get distracted. If you are engaged in a conversation it is very difficult to doom scroll between prompts. I’m just getting more work per minute in now
  2. Multi tasking is insanely easy. Voice acts as an orchestrator for ALL your projects. As long as I’m in Voice mode all my projects are moving forward
  3. Makes it incredibly easy to stream of conscious blabber. The more thoughts you get out to the AI, the more it can parse your thought for good ideas
  4. Makes my breaks productive. I now go for walks mid day and use Voice on the iOS app. It can remote into my Mac Studio and keep all my work moving.

Here’s the workflow I’ve been using:

  1. Wake up
  2. Open up ChatGPT Voice
  3. Ask “what’s the status of my current projects and give me a recommended next step for each project”
  4. Approve the recommendations you like
  5. Choose a project you want to focus on. Brain dump everything you’re thinking about it. Ask how we can use that information to advance the project to your goal
  6. Go back and forth until you’ve come up with an idea you like
  7. Say “go ahead and start a thread on that”
  8. Say “what’s next”
  9. Repeat 6-8 as much as you can. Switching between projects as tasks finish

The key is asking for the AI’s opinion way more than you give commands

Lightening your cognitive load and allowing the AI to brainstorm ideas, then giving feedback on them not only leads to better results because GPT 5.6 is radically intelligent, but also is way less energy intensive for you, so you can keep working for long periods.

This 3 step cycle of “where do we stand” “what do we do next” “ok please spin up a thread” for that has made me 10x more productive over the last 2 days than I’ve ever been before. Especially on the go since Voice mode can remote into any of your devices

The best tip I can give is treat ChatGPT Voice as your chief of staff. You’re not giving it commands to do things. You’re asking it to delegate the good ideas you two come up with to new threads and existing agents. Voice doesn't do the work. It hands the work off to dedicated agents on your main machine.

This saves you tokens (not that that matters with all of @thsottiaux resets) and allows the super smart models like sol take care of the heavy work.

I challenge you to carve out half an hour today or tomorrow and give this a go. I guarantee you have a similar AGI moment as I did.

I’m 100% voice pilled now. And I promise you will too.

BONUS TIPS:

  1. Have a 'compass' doc in every project that has all your short and long term goals for that project. That way you can talk to Voice and say 'check out the compass doc and recommend a next step. OK spin that up in a new thread'
  2. Ask way more questions than prompts you give
  3. Don't be afraid to just blabber and say 'what did you think about that?'
  4. Choose 1 device you have as the headquarters of all your ChatGPT work. Then use all your other devices as nodes and remote into it.
  5. Credits get used quick with this strategy, so use medium thinking for the threads that get spun up + luna and terra when appropriate
  6. I recommend making a 'morning work' skill that describes to your Voice agent how to audit your projects and come up with next steps.
