How I Make $3,000 a Month on Prediction Markets Using AI

You’ve read this kind of article before.
Different author, same structure.
Someone discovers prediction markets, builds an "AI system," shows a green number, and drops a link.
Mine is different in exactly one way: I’ll tell you upfront that 99% of people won’t be able to pull this off.
And in the second part, we’ll get into what anyone can actually do.
Read this article and pay attention to how good it feels.
That feeling is exactly what most authors are selling you every single day.
Part One: The Story

It all started with a scraper.
I got tired of being late. By the time a headline hit my feed, the market had already moved.
So I connected a bot that tracks news sources and X accounts, sends everything to Telegram, and adds a timestamp.
Suddenly, I started seeing the gap - usually 40–90 seconds - between a piece of news going live and the market repricing on Polymarket.
Then I added the "brain."
Every incoming item gets sent to an LLM with one job:
Does this change the probability of any market I’m tracking - yes or no, and by how much?
It scores every news item from 0 to 10 based on relevance and direction.
Anything above 7 triggers a phone notification.
The final piece is execution.
I don’t make it fully automatic - I’m not insane - but the alert comes with a pre-filled order:
Market. Side. Position size based on my Kelly fraction.
One tap.
A typical trade from the past few months:
A Fed official says something hawkish at 2:02 PM.
My pipeline scores it an 8.4 at 2:02:31.
The "rate cut in March" market is still sitting at 61%.
Fair value after the comment is probably closer to 52%.
I enter at 60% within a minute.
Over the next two hours, the market gradually moves down to 53%.
+$180 on a $1,500 position.
I make 60–80 trades like this per month.
Hit rate is around 58%.
The average win is slightly bigger than the average loss because I cut losses fast.
In the end, that works out to around $3,000/month on a $25k bankroll - roughly 12% per month.
The whole thing runs on a $5 VPS and costs me around $40/month in API calls.
That’s the story.
Clean. Technical. Convincing.
Part Two: What You Can Actually Do Right Now
The scraper is real.
Anyone can build one.
X/news → Telegram with timestamps is a weekend project.
I know because pipelines like this really do get built - including by me.
The speed advantage exists.
LLM scoring is half-real.
An LLM can be pretty good at sorting news by relevance.
What it can’t do is know fair value.
"This is hawkish" is easy.
"This moves the probability of a March rate cut from 61% to 52%, not from 61% to 58%" - that’s the whole game.
And no prompt is going to give you that.
The model can find the door.
It won’t tell you what’s behind it.
The 40–90 second window is shrinking.
It existed.
Then everyone built the same scraper.
On major markets, you’re now competing with bots, co-located infrastructure, and full-time traders.
Your edge window on big news often disappears before your API request even comes back.
A 58% hit rate with positive skew is the part nobody can sell you.
Not because it’s impossible.
But because that’s the exact part no one can verify - and the exact part everyone claims to have.
A 58% hit rate with controlled losses is a professional-level edge.
People with that kind of edge don’t sell courses.
Bottom Line
Anyone can build an AI-powered tech stack that helps them make money.
That number could be $100/month.
It could be $10,000/month.
It depends on your bankroll - and on luck.
The technology is real.
The automation is real.
The edge is rare, small, and expensive to find.
