How to Conquer Your Fear Once And For All

throughout centuries, many great minds have pondered one question.

how do you get rid of fear?

some studied it for years.

some even spent their whole lives trying to find an answer.

different schools, different philosophies, but all eventually arrived at the same conclusion:

you don’t.

everyone has fear.

Nelson Mandela had fear.

George Washington had fear.

even Napoleon had fear.

the question was never whether fear exists or not, but what you eventually do with it.

I’ve read many biographies of great “fearless” people in history.

countless books on psychology and neuroscience.

and now I can say that I know:

the only way to kill fear is to face it directly.

it’s early sunday morning as I’m writing this.

rays of the rising sun are breaking through my blinds.

the smell of a sandalwood candle is slowly filling my room.

classical music playing in the background.

this time: Beethoven.

it’s time to conquer your fear once and for all.

THE STORY OF HIOB

before we begin, I want to bring up a story that, to my mind, is the most powerful esoteric representation of how destructive fear can be.

in the Bible, a man named Hiob is described as a loyal servant of god.

virtuous, and disciplined in all ways possible.

yet one day, a test is set.

everything is taken from him.

his wealth.

his home.

his children.

he loses everything despite doing nothing wrong.

read literally, the story makes no sense.

why would a god destroy his most loyal servant for no reason?

the answer is hidden, but you can see it in one line.

hiob says:

> “for what I have greatly feared has come upon me.” –Job 3:25

FAITH IN REVERSE

the reason why fear can have such a destructive impact on your life is because it is quite literally the flip side of the most powerful force in the universe: faith.

having faith in something means being in alignment with a desired reality.

not only physically, but also mentally and spiritually.

it means that your whole state of being is directly corresponding with a future possibility on all levels of existence.

that’s why having “faith” is probably the most praised virtue in all religious and spiritual traditions.

but you must not overlook one thing:

fear is also a form of faith.

faith and fear are exactly the same energy.

the only thing that differentiates them is where you direct it.

faith is the act of imagining and feeling what you do want.

fear is the act of imagining and feeling what you don’t want.

giving in to fear means giving in your frequency.

all the negative scenarios that arise in your head impact you on the emotional level, which eventually permeates your subconscious mind and materializes itself in the three-dimensional plane.

in other words, you will bring to life even your most feared scenarios not because you are doing anything wrong physically, but because that’s what you’re subconsciously requesting.

reality does not care about what you say you want, but what you represent energetically.

people in churches pray for joy and prosperity, all while crying the tears of sadness.

WHAT YOU RESIST PERSISTS

now, does it mean you should turn away from fear when it strikes at you?

no.

a repressed emotion will always come back at you, in one way or another.

think of your subconscious mind as a huge storehouse that accommodates all the unfinished thoughts that pass through your conscious reasoning throughout your lifetime.

every time you give in to one of those thoughts, allow it to impact you on the emotional level, and later turn away from it, it does not disappear.

quite the opposite.

it becomes stronger and stronger.

each thought is like a stone block.

you add one stone block onto another until eventually it turns into a fucking mountain.

when it does, you are no longer consciously choosing your emotional state during certain situations.

you are a slave to these fears.

you don’t even have to think about them anymore to feel anxious.

it has become your default state.

the operating manual from which you normally act.

that’s what the spiritual gurus were teaching thousands of years before modern neuroscience proved it.

neurons that fire together, wire together.

a repeated emotional state, over and over again, programs your subconscious to respond in the same way automatically.

the legend says that in its original version, the Bible says “fear not” 365 times.

each for every single day in the year.

the meaning of it, however, is often misunderstood.

in the esoteric understanding, it doesn’t mean that you can never feel fear.

it means don’t run away when it strikes.

stay firm.

confront it.

and let it pass through.

HOW TO DEAL WITH YOUR FEARS

> “Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.” — Romans 12:2

the first thing people try to do when some of their deepest fears arise is ignore them.

turn away, run, and suppress.

while it’s how most people normally operate, it’s probably the worst thing you can do.

a suppressed, emotionally charged thought will always come back at you stronger every single time.

the strategy I’m going to propose to you is the total opposite.

however simple it may sound, whenever fear arises, just stare at it.

don’t fight it.

don’t wrestle with it in any way.

just acknowledge and observe.

when you detach from a thought on the emotional level, it loses its power over you.

the longer you stay in this state, observing your thoughts without emotional engagement, the more you realize their absurdity.

eventually, the fear passes.

and every single time you do this, it gets weaker.

it’s the exact strategy used by the most “fearless” people who ever walked on earth.

miyamoto musashi spent hours in meditation before every duel.

napoleon bonaparte created entire branches of possibilities before battles.

mike tyson sat with the worst-case scenarios in the locker room before stepping into the ring.

none of them was supernatural in any way.

they just had the better mental game.

and that’s what everything eventually comes down to.

if they could, you can too…

anytime fear tries to play its tricks on you, don’t let it get you into its claws.

stay firm.

confront it.

and let it pass through.
