and I have also spent thousands of dollars and 100s of hours learning the skill too. There are a bunch of things I learned from this that would've stopped me from making mistakes and made me a lot more money

so In this article I'm going to break down exactly how to become a master at generating traffic, how to monetise it and what I would tell myself as a clueless 9 to 5 worker desperately trying to make it out of the trenches

I'll break it down into 3 simple steps so its easy for you to follow:

• SKILLS: The skills you must learn in order to become a master at generating traffic and that will make it so no matter what vehicle you use you can push a ton of traffic
• VEHICLE: The platforms you can choose to master, which ones are suitable for what offers, pros and cons of using each platform
• MONETISATION: How to actually use this traffic you generate to put money in your own pocket and utilise it the best way you can

By the end of reading this article you will understand: exactly what traffic generation is, how to take action TODAY to start learning it, how to make money from it

Skills

In the modern day of generating traffic you see AI pop up in the conversation everywhere. "Use this new tool to write copy," "Claude can now do your dishes while it launches your ads". Truth is... It really doesn't change anything. Marketing has been more or less the same for the past hundred years it's just using different vehicles now. Instead of mail campaigns its Facebook ads, but capturing the attention and converting it is the same

In the beginning as you're just starting, take no notice of it AI. All it's going to do is make you feel behind, anxious and doubt yourself. PLUS using AI tools won't even help you as a beginner with absolutely no skill. AI should magnify your current skill, Claude will look like it's giving you good copy if you know NOTHING about copywriting. First learn the skill so you know how to judge the outputs of the LLM's

Generating traffic is a skill that merges 2 sets of major skills. Direct response marketing and social media marketing. Direct response marketing its self has a bunch of sub skills under neath it, you don't need to learn every single one but when you do over time you will be an absolute king of pushing traffic

The list goes like this:

• D.R. copywriting: Crafting writing that has urgency / scarcity tactics, understanding / portraying the readers pain points incredibly accurately, ability to write clear CTA's
• Crafting hooks: Being able to come up with scroll stopping visual / verbal hooks using curiosity and open loops
• Landing page / funnel building
• Offer creation

Learning the first 2 is all you need in the beginning and let me preface this, you will not become a master copywriter in a week, month or even year. It is one of the hardest skills to understand and master. But its one of them skills where just you learning the basics and fundamentals you'll be 100x more competent than anyone else in the world to make money who doesn't know it

How do you even learn copywriting? There are 3 ways and I suggest you do all 3 everyday

>Consume tons of media teaching it: Youtube videos, Books. Im going to link some YouTube videos to do exactly that below

>Consume tons of actual good copy: Once you have watched these videos you'll understand what to look for a bit better so you can go a head and consume a bunch of good copy. Consume Alex Hormozi sales assets, Instagram videos, Notice the outlier YouTube videos thumbnail and titles and also use this website to consume copy too - COPYWRITING SWIPE FILES

>Practice: This is the most important part and I don't mean practice by just writing random google docs. Actually start putting content out there. Whatever vehicle you choose whether its Instagram, TikTok, Youtube don't delay taking action it is the best way you can learn

BONUS SKILL:

Now there is a bonus skill that compliments all these other skills that isn't essential but it'll defiantly open yourself up to more opportunities and make it easier to put these other skills into practice... AI Video

Think of AI video as a new way to package all these skills together allowing you to market without showing your face, repurposing other peoples content etc

Vehicle

The vehicle you choose is essentially deciding "what social media platform do I want to master?". Each one ranges with what skills you need to know, how hard it is to master, what audience is primarily on there

To help you choose this I want to give you the pros and cons of each vehicle, which is best for what position or already existing skills you have, what offers work "best" for each one

>TikTok: TikTok was the first platform I ever ran any traffic from and the first platform to make me money. I've made 6 figures from TikTok alone and in a very short time span and would say it's the platform I know the best. It is arguably the best and worst platform to choose for organic and for paid. The reason behind this is traffic is very easy to generate on this platform but its usually not very high quality, posts die extremely quickly so your always relying on going viral to make money, TikTok ads is just a mess and pretty much always has been. The best offers that work on here is generally CPA or CPI offers, low friction offers that don't require a ton of convincing or purchasing anything. Unless your doing TikTok shop affiliate its very hard to sell any physical product or services here. Whats required to grow here is good hook crafting skills, open loop skills, constant attention on new trends.

>Facebook: Facebook is the platform I've used the least. It has a very mature audience on here which works well for selling supplements and "tricking" them with bad AI UGC. Typically organic growth is slower but once you build the audience up it can make you money for a long long time. Facebook ads on the other hand is S tier for generating traffic, you need capital, you need skill, and it's a learning curve but if you master it you can be RICH. Whats required to grow here is Hook crafting, audience research, scriptwriting, patience

>Instagram: Probably the best platform on this list for organic traffic, Anything works on Instagram and it has a relatively similar algorithm to TikTok in the sense you can generate views fast. Supplements work here, info works here, CPA / CPI works here. It is one of the most valuable platforms to have built up by far. Meta ads works very well here too. Combine the skills of Facebook and TikTok and thats whats required to grow on IG

>X: X is my biggest platform I've built up. Probably the hardest to grow on and actually build an audience you're dealing with a mature and intelligent audience that can smell BS from a mile away in the MMO space anyway. If you haven't done anything and are a beginner trying to push traffic to some bogus product I wouldn't even try. but it compliments actually having a skill and speaking about your achievements very very well. the growth guide I would say for X is do some sh*t, build connections while doing it and use them to help you build authority / boost growth.

>Youtube: An absolutely amazing platform to master but definitely the one that requires the most time and skill. Once you learn how to actually push traffic on this you will be able to make money for a long long time. The key with YouTube is mastering packaging, meaning the title, thumbnail and intro of your video. The offers that work here can be anything but primarily it'll be info or some CPA stuff

Monetisation

Now you know the basics of pushing traffic lets get into how you can actually monetise this

As a beginner I wouldn't recommend trying to build your own product but I would say the best thing you can do is promote someone else's offer that is already proven to convert, already has a clear demographic / avatar who wants it and buys it, already has proven ways you can study that it's been marketed in the past

We are talking about becoming an affiliate

The verticals you can choose to affiliate for ranges a lot and depending what platform you choose will determine which offer is the best to pick

It all comes down to picking an offer that solves a specific problem for a specific group of people. All of marketing comes down to can you convince that your product will get the viewer to their desired reality

Desires can fall into these pockets

• Make more money (Info, SAAS)
• Save money (Info, SAAS, CPA,CPI)
• Status (Beauty products, CPA, CPI, Info)
• Health (Supplements, Info)

Pick one of these and find an offer for it

The best place to find these offers is an affiliate network. But make sure you join one that is reputable, you know of someone making money from it. A lot of affiliate networks can scrub you, not pay you your commissions or have an insanely high payout threshold

The best affiliate network I've worked with is Glitchy, It has a long range of offers all of which have been tested and proven to make money in the past, they have a great support system if you run into any problems and they even offer free mentorships / bootcamps for beginners which is where I actually got my start. if you scroll all the way back to last year you can actually see how I started
